Edit: on day two of playing I got bored….it is limited with what you can do with your pet and there are only 6 types of dogs and 3 types of cats you can get?! For a £35 game its definitely not worth it.
Great game. Already had hours of fun playing it

Came within a few days ready for my stepsons birthday. Although he’s more into his mario games I love playing on it. Just like Nintendogs so takes me back to my childhood 😂

This game is obviously a filler in the void of a new Nintendogs game, and whilst it attempts to recapture that magic, which it sometimes does by the cute animals and charming look, there’s simply not enough here to look at. After an hoir you’ve basically done everything in the game, with an in-game badge system thenonly incentive to actually keep going. It becomes more and more repetitive each time you play. I’d definitely recommend this more as a play for 30 mins every 2 days kind of game rather than a deep game you can sink yourself into.

It’s an okay game, the graphics are good but you quickly run out of things to go and it’s missing so many elements of Nintendogs which I adored as a kid (and still play it!) but this just feels like they’ve not put anywhere near as much effort into it. I feel it’s not worth the money, more like half the asking price.

I went into this expecting something similar to nintendogs you could wash them etc.
I was disappointed with this, no trick teaching , no bathing it’s missing a lot of the key stuff that was in nintendogs years ago I just don’t understand how.
The game is beautiful though runs well for me and the graphics are amazing just wish there was more to it.

Little Friends: Dogs & Cats
Nintendo is a specialist of “Tamagotchi” style video games.
The newest iteration is Little Friends: Dogs & Cats for Nintendo Switch.
What is the game about?
Well, you start with adopting your first dog. You need to care about it like for a real pet, including providing food and drink, cleaning, playing with, taking for a walk or even attending various competitions.
After a while, several levels up, you get the access to cats.
Graphics wise – well, this game is not a “Crisis” or “The Witcher 3”. Don’t expect jaw dropping moments. Graphics can be described as good. It is definitely sufficient for the game of this type, especially for a child. Pets are super cute, fairly detailed, you can easily see the differences between breeds offered.
Is it a game for everyone?
No, if you are a fan of fast-paced action games and you fall asleep with anything requiring patience and leveling up.
Yes, if you prefer calm entertainment, leveling up and like spending quite a lot of time with such games.
Yes, if you are going to get a family pet and want to teach your children to care about a dog or cat in safe environment. You can then check the progress made by children and see what are they focused on and what should they think about the next time.
Good, enjoyable game for every pet fan, owner or owner-to-be.
Recommendation.

Daughter loves this game for her Nintendo switch . Great to keep the kids quiet and teaches them that pets need looking after all the time will make them care for a real pet or put them off completely. Good idea to buy this game if your child is dearly wanting a real pet
It will show how much time and effort they would have do to care for a real animal .

It’s a decent game, my only problem being that there just isn’t enough content to keep you occupied once you’ve got a companion to level 15 to unlock a cat. In the future if the company keep with this game and update it with new content, then it’ll be worth buying. But at this moment in time, not worth the price.
