I was super excited to get this for my switch, remastered for it thought great got to be better than the ds version. No, just not, it’s glitchy there’s no character voices, it’s still a let down. Wish I’d got crash bandicoot now. For hard core potter fans yep, probably spot on but I’m just a fan of Harry potter but gamer first so this let me down some what.

I think we can all agree that Nintendo Switch games are stupidly expensive and considering this is quite an old game, the retail price remains high. Then again, this is the two games in the one cartridge and the price I paid was the cheapest I’ve found the game anywhere so I shouldn’t complain!!

I originally bought the Lego Harry Potter games on the Wii for my kids when they first came out. This was in no small way an apology for the fact that my wife and I monopolised the Lego Star Wars game and they didn’t get a look-in on that one. Having just purchased the Switch for my wife and myself (the kids have grown and flown), it seemed like an ideal time to re-visit the game and find out why the kids loved it so much.

So far we have not been disappointed. Don’t get me wrong – it’s still not Lego Star Wars but I don’t mind trading a lightsabre for a wand and an X-Wing for a broomstick. We’re not all that far in to the game yet, but I am looking forward to playing more and completing the whole story. I think we may end up getting invaded by the offspring for “dinner and a play on the Switch” now…

I like the fact that you have both games Years 1-7 on one disk, as always I enjoy Lego games such as this because there is always hilarious moments in the game and for me I find it hard to take it seriously, it is just so much fun and chaos at times.

Our family have always enjoyed the Lego games. they have a good humour and good family gameplay.
Whilst this is a great addition what is slightly annoying is that you play 2 games rather then them making this one. having said that the title implys this so you know what you are getting (so cant get rid of a star for this). Love the Co-Op play and even once complete have to go back with newly unlocked characters. all the cast are here (even the animals).

What can I say – if you’ve played any Lego games and you’ve seen Harry Potter then you know what to expect. It does not really deviate from the formulae but it is great fun and at the lower price worth it. For kids some seem to be more eager to complete games on the Switch rather than on consoles for some reason.

Yes it’s still in 2 parts as all the other versions and the engine does seem a bit dated; I was hoping they would just use the assets on the new(er) Lego engines but alas no. Thus less 1 star. It still has glitches you may have encountered in other consoles but at least you can be familiar/search for workarounds. Better than new unknown glitches? πŸ˜‰

Thus IMHO only worth it if you have Harry Potter fans that perhaps have not finished the game on other consoles or want to revisit/finish it now or you no longer have older console/game.

Game crashed after 2 hours of playing taking back to a room I could not exit as i had already gone beyond this. Then had to start from the beginning again, scene where you have to catch a tile and through back at a troll is almost impossible, have now given up and gone back to animal crossing. Total waste of money and very frustrating. Never buy another Lego spin off game again.

I’m a big fan of this game and when it came out originally on the XBOX 360 I was quick to buy it.. After all the films were finished they released the 2nd part of the game. Many many years later and you now have the game coming out for Nintendo Switch! Excellent! This is the kind of game that Nintendo Switch is made for.. A game you can play 2 player on a big tv or play by yourself on the train to work or bus to school… however, given that the company will be making lots of £££ from this release you think they could have solved the biggest issue with the game… that is it’s in two parts!! You spend all your time trying to complete the first few films and then you complete them, but maybe not 100% game complete, i.e you didn’t get all the side bits and bobs, and you move onto the 2nd game… you’re basically starting again and it’s not easy to move between the 2 different titles.. It’s understandable when the game was originally released why it came like this but they should have taken the time to make it a Harry Potty Lego Complete edition with everything in one! Also this was one of the final Lego games to NOT include vocals from the film. When Lego Lord of the Rings came out they took vocals direct from the film.. again it would have been next to add this to th game.. The price on this title is also out of control. The PS4 version has been pretty steady at sub Β£20.. but for the Switch it’s gone from Β£19.99 up till Β£39.99 and around in the middle… it’s an old game.. just released on switch it’s a Β£20 to Β£25 title at best.
